Description

The traditional birthstone for June is the pearl, especially the cultured pearl. However, some birthstone charts also list the alexandrite as a June birthstone. Accordingly, these pretty post earrings would be a great gift for your friend born in June! They're also great for the person who loves to wear purple.

These alexandrites are a medium purple color. These alexandrites are pretty faceted oval gemstones that measure 12x10mm! I set this matching pair of alexandrites into these simple, but strong, 4-prong sterling silver post earring settings, that have a generous length of post to go through your piercings. These alexandrites are lab-grown gemstones** - see the description below!

These earrings come with a pair of sterling silver clutches to hold them on securely. These alexandrite posts are made and ready to ship. You choose the type of USPS mail you want. These sterling silver earrings will come packaged in a jewelry gift box with ribbon.

My shop policies are given above under that tab.

Thank you for visiting my shop, and thanks for shopping handmade! -Pat

**Info about: Lab-grown & Synthetic gemstones**

"Some gemstones are manufactured to imitate other gemstones. For example, cubic zirconia is a synthetic diamond simulant composed of zirconium oxide. Moissanite, also a synthetic stone, is another example. The imitations copy the look and color of the real stone but possess neither their chemical nor physical characteristics. Moissanite actually has a higher refractive index than diamond and when presented beside an equivalently sized and cut diamond will have more "fire" than the diamond.

However, lab created … gemstones are not imitations. For example, diamonds, ruby, sapphires and emeralds have been manufactured in labs to possess identical chemical and physical characteristics to the naturally occurring variety. Smaller synthetic diamonds have been manufactured in large quantities as industrial abrasives, although larger gem-quality synthetic diamonds are becoming available in multiple carats.[18]

Whether a gemstone is a natural stone or a lab-created (manmade) stone, the characteristics of each are the same. Lab-created stones tend to have a more vivid color to them, as impurities are not present in a lab and do not modify the clarity or color of the stone.[citation needed]"

Returns & exchanges

I would like you to be happy with your purchase!

If you are not happy, please let me know within 5 days of receiving your jewelry. If you mail the jewelry back to me in the SAME condition received, I would be happy to give you a refund or a shop credit for the amount of the jewelry only.
I'm sorry, but I do not refund the shipping charges on returns - because that money was spent when I send your order to you.

If you choose the shop credit, instead of refund: The shop credit will not expire, and I will give you an extra 5% on top of the price of your returned jewelry, not counting shipping charges. The shop credit can be used for any item in this shop.

There are no returns for resized jewelry OR custom ordered pieces OR any piece made with Strontium Titanate gemstones.

Thanks!
