Description

3 plants 7"+ up Aphrodite Hibiscus ( Althea ) Rose Of Sharon Live Plant Potted

Fast growing. 3 plants in one pot will grow like one bush- tree with flowers. Unlike many shrubs, the Rose of Sharon has a long bloom time and flowers appear late in the season start in beginning of July. Low-maintenance plant.

Rose of Sharon has a medium growth rate, meaning that it grows approximately 13 to 24 inches a year. A mature Rose of Sharon bush can grow between 8 to 12 feet tall with a 4 to 10 foot spread.

The Rose of Sharon blooms in midsummer, producing pink, white, purple, red or fuchsia flowers. Some flowers have double petals and some are multicolored. The shrub continues blooming through fall, or until cold weather nips them. Flowers range in size from 3 to 5 inches, depending on the variety and growing conditions.

Some shrubs, such as lilacs, take several years to form flowers, but Rose of Sharon starts blooming within 1 to 2 years. This shrub grows quickly, and in warm, mild climates can grow 20 feet tall if left unpruned. The flowers form on new growth. Prune Rose of Sharon in winter to remove old canes and improve the tree's form. Pruning encourages fewer, but larger flowers. Don't prune after the bush has begun producing new growth because you'll eliminate the flowers for that growing season.

Full sun, Part sun, Part shade

Acidic, Mildly Acidic, Neutral, Mildly Alkaline, Alkaline

Average moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soils.

I have 'never' experienced anything like this ordering from shops on Etsy. When I placed my order, I expected to receive a .pdf file with instructions for the recipe but I never received it. When I reached out to the owner, he/she indicated that they were out of the town but basically said to juice a potato and drink it. She also indicated that he/she will email me the other recipe the following week. As of today, I have yet to receive the other recipe (if that's what you want to call it).

I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone. I purchase a lot of items from Etsy and I know that some of the shops on here are small and really rely on Reviews. I gave this a lot of thought before writing this review. Although I only spent (lost) $5, I don't want anyone else to get robbed by this shop.
