Feel confident while wearing this copper leaf necklace made with a REAL leaf from a Tulip Tree designed for adventurous women who embrace life. These necklaces are sturdy and made to last. Give a memorable birthday present or any time gift for any lady who loves and appreciates nature ~ whether that be walks in the forest, gardening, or exploring the mountains. In the autumn, pair this necklace with a plaid flannel and tank top with denim jeans, and in the winter pair with a beige, chunky sweater and leggings. Wear any day of the week whether going out to dinner or for a vigorous hike.

Choose your necklace length and leaf size from the drop-down menu when you go to order. Each copper leaf pendant comes with a copper cable chain with soldered links and a lobster clasp. The model in the photo is wearing the leaf on a 18" chain.

The small leaf measures approximately 1" long by 1.25" wide, & the large leaf measures approximately 1.5" long by 1.75" wide. Due to the nature of leaves, please allow for some differences between the necklace you see in the photos & the necklace you receive ~ all are beautiful & organic.

Each real leaf remains under the copper ~ preserved for life.

Each Tulip Tree leaf is hand-picked. Next, the leaf is put through electricity for a very long time so copper naturally forms around the entire leaf creating a sturdy piece. This process takes careful supervision. Once each leaf has reached perfection, it is oxidized to accentuate the texture and a clear coat is applied to protect the copper metal. The finishing touch is a sturdy copper chain.

Electroforming is a dedicated process by which copper metal from one piece of copper is transferred through electric current to the jewelry resulting in unique, naturally organic creations. Simply put ~ each one is made with lots & lots of love.

Don't let sensitive ears discourage you from copper earrings. Personally, I have sensitive ears so I understand your concerns.

Most earring listings have an option where you can choose between copper ear wires or copper colored, niobium ear wires. Niobium is a safe metal for sensitive ears.

If the earring listing doesn't have that option, please feel free to message me so I can accommodate you!
All copper designs are clear coated. This provides a barrier between your skin and the copper so your skin will not react and turn a greenish color (a natural occurrence for some people based on their body's pH level). The coating also delays tarnish.

See Care Instructions for what to do when the coating wears off. How soon it will wear off depends on your body's pH and how often your jewelry comes into contact with water.
As with most jewelry, take your jewelry off before showering, swimming, or sleeping.

For longest lasting shine, store your copper pieces in a plastic bag when you aren't wearing them.

When your copper begins to tarnish, use a polishing cloth or steel wool to bring back the shine.

If you desire, after polishing the copper, you can apply a jewelers wax or clear nail polish to the part of the copper that touches your skin. This will delay the tarnishing process.

WARNING: For necklaces and bracelets with black words on them, do not apply nail polish over or near the black letters for two reasons: 1). the black letters do not (or generally do not) touch your skin; 2). the nail polish may cause the black lettering to bleed.

If needed, clean with warm soapy water & a clean cloth. Avoid jewelry cleaners (including cloths) & antibacterial soaps as the harsh chemicals may harm the finish on the jewelry. Store like items together (don't mix silver & gold/rose gold as the different metals may cause each other to tarnish or fade colors).
Absolutely! First of all, I don't recommend taking your ring made by me to a local jeweler as it is possible they will mess it up to a point that I may not be able to fix it. If you purchase a copper piece, whether custom or non-custom, and you decide you would like a change or just a different metal finish of silver, rose gold, or 14k gold, please contact me. There will be an additional, but affordable, fee and all you will have to do is send the ring back to me, and I'll take care of the rest for you. Reasons you may want to consider this option are if you find that copper turns your skin green and that is bothersome to you or if you simply would like a change. Opal & Turquoise jewelry currently aren't eligible for having a metal change.
