Q. How is Museware's pottery made?
A. Our pottery is hand painted on unfinished, white earthenware. Our designs are reproduced using our own handmade stamps and a small number of commercial stamps. (Our Imagine Love Plate features a lovely detailed heart designed by artist Christine Adolph.) Each piece is then kiln-fired at 1835 degrees for up to 9 hours, resulting in a smooth, glossy, food-safe finish. Due to the handmade nature of our product, no two pieces are exactly alike. Crooked letters, differences in pottery dimension, paint color, image placement and composition are common characteristics of each piece of Museware Pottery.

Q. Can I make changes to your pottery designs?
A. In a word: No. (Sorry) Museware Pottery is designed and priced to include your personal information in a specific area on a predetermined design layout. Design changes & custom work are not available.

Q. Do you include a gift cards with your pottery?
A. We will include a brief handwritten note with your order. Each piece comes with a artist card & blank gift card - tucked into a hand-stamped pocket envelope, making gifting simple and fun. Our gift inserts were designed to complement our pottery, so they look really happy together. Pricing is not included.

Q. Do you gift wrap?
A. While gift wrap is not available, each piece of Museware Pottery comes wrapped in GreenWrap - a reusable, recyclable and compostable Kraft paper product. This beautiful wrap enables us to use less materials and smaller boxes. Please reuse this fabulous material to wrap out of season dinnerware, holiday decor & ornaments.

Q. How should we care for our pottery?
A. Our pottery is made with lead free, food safe materials. Due to the sentimental value of your personalized pottery gift, hand washing is recommended.
