The bread box is large and has a lovely aqua border around the door on the front. The door has a cream paint that has peeled over time to form a crackled appearance. In the center of the door is a floral design consisting of orange, yellow and green paints. The bulk of the paint of the flowers has also chipped off.
The chrome handle has heft and a lovely wavy design. You can twist it to the left or the right to open the door.
The sides, bottom, top and back of the door are white. There are two sets of small holes in the back of the box to enable air ventilation.
There are a number of scratches throughout these sides of the box. There is a small dent in the back of the top surface of the box in the back, and another small dent in the back right side of the bottom surface of the bread box. There are some rust patches on the back inside wall and a little bit on the back of the floor of the box.
This is such a unique bread box! I was unable to find anything else like this in my research of antique bread boxes. Not only would this be a beautiful addition to your vintage kitchen decor, it would also be a great photography or film prop!
