Gold foil origami cranes are used here to mimic the brush strokes of Japanese calligraphy, and forms the kanji symbol "Haha," meaning "Mother." It is mounted on a background of black velvet.

The 1.5 inch (3.75 cm) deep shadowbox frame is painted a glossy black lacquer, and the front of the frame is filled with non-glare, UV resistant acrylic, though glass is also available upon request. The overall size is 9 inches (22.5 cm) by 11 inches (27.5 cm).
