Wonderful original 1974 exhibition catalogue for a print-making workshop held by the Sanavik Cooperative in Baker Lake, with support from the Canadian Eskimo Art's Council.

Mainly black and white, the book includes photographs, examples of the prints and introductions by those who took part. The art work featured forms a snapshot into inuit culture, and is most figurative with themes such as spirit animals, shamans and wildlife.

Catalogue published by the Sanavik Cooperative, printed in Canada 1974

Condition: Good to very good vintage condition, clean and intact with no pen marks. The cover is a little worn and discoloured at the edges, with some creasing and nibbles to the paper on the spine. Small round mark on the very back page, otherwise really nice with clear images ideal for framing throughout.

Yes! We offer standard Airmail from just £3.95 depending on the size or value of the item.
As a former Museum Curator, I have lots of experience in packaging antiques for transport, and as such pay close attention to sturdy and padded materials to post items. We use card boxes where appropriate with bubble wrap and paper packaging.
We try to be as accurate as possible and include lots of photos to help customers get a feel for what we sell. We're only human however, and that means we can make mistakes - please allow us to put them right. If you are unhappy in any way we accept returns and will pay for your return postage to boot.
We're a new shop, but we have lots of experience in successful online selling, including the 5-star Sewing Circus Etsy Shop created in 2013. Having sold vintage goods on Ebay over the years, it seemed time to create a shop base that would give the best look and feel for what we sell.
We sell rare, cool and quirky, but even that means we sometimes pass up on things that have seen better days.

First off, we get a feel for the item - how it looks overall, checking for anything obvious like breaks and chips. How china sings (or doesn't) when you tap it with a fingernail. Do the moving parts still work? Has anything been glued back together? How would I feel if I received this?

In truth I don't buy/collect anything for my shop I wouldn't want myself. That's a number one rule.

"Excellent condition" - looks unused, as good as the day it was made

"Good or Very Good Vintage condition" - used, so expect minor imperfections. Anything major will be added to the listing.

"Fair" - on the cusp, so expect TLC needed
Only the item listed is for sale, and will state if a box is included. We use period jewellery boxes for photographs sometimes, but will always state if this is included in the sale.

If in doubt, please don't hesitate to ask :)
On most items yes, we're happy to look again at our pricing and come to the right deal for you :) Never be afraid to ask!
Not necessarily, not all orders are sent tracked. It's simply too costly to send tracked every time, especially for international orders. For a guaranteed tracking number with your order, please select a tracked postage option at the checkout.
Please note that for the original postage costs for orders returned or exchanged, in the event of a customer changing their mind, are non-refundable. Postage costs for all returns are also at the customer's discretion, but we recommend using a tracked service and retaining your receipt as proof of postage for future reference.
