Description

Sweet print dress from the 1950s.
Square neck accented with a bow.
Abstract novelty print on very deep navy blue.
Not a true pencil silhouette but a not a full, flared skirt either.

Side zip.
No stretch cotton gabardine material.
Sewn-in maker tag.

For comparison, shown on modern dress form with a bust of 36 inches.
Suggest a modern L - please check measurements carefully - there is no stretch with this blend but the pleating at the bust and skirt allows for some variability.
Measurements taken while laying flat then doubled for the following:
Bust: 37 inches with some pleating for more
Waist: 34 inches
Hips: 48 inches plus with pleating to allow for more
Length from shoulder near neck to bottom hem: 42 inches (from waist, 26 inches)

Overall great vintage condition with no issues to note - except that a small hole was found low in a seam.
Please use photos as part of description.

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Paypal or a money order are accepted forms of payment.
As per Etsy policy, you have 3 days to pay for your purchase (if you are purchasing with a money order, please contact us as soon as possible so we know that is your intent).

Returns & exchanges

Of course, we want you to be happy and have established a policy for returns that is reasonable given what it means to process the return on our end.

Vintage pieces are not pristine and all items are sold "as-is."

Communication is key and no returns will be considered more than 7 days after items are received by buyer. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Merchandise must be returned in original condition (as it was sent to the buyer) or no refund can be given.

In addition, there is a 20% restocking fee on all returns (this will be based on the total cost with shipping included). For example, you pay $30 + $5 shipping, so $35 total. You are refunded $28 total.

Please ask all questions prior to purchase - We are happy to help!

Shipping policies

Most items are shipped via Priority Mail within the U.S. Jewelry and small items that can be sent First Class will be (unless insurance is needed).

Items are usually shipped within 72 hrs. of receipt of payment (excepting weekends). And then Priority Mail/First Class Mail is 2-3 days for continental US. International is shipped via the least expensive method.

When shipping is charged, similar items (i.e. two dresses) may have slightly different shipping rates depending on weight or amount of material.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING is via First Class International. We love our international customers and are happy to ship internationally. Please note that sometimes there are unfortunately significant delays in the receipt of packages (as many as 4-6 weeks) and tracking can be unreliable. If there are duties and customs charges imposed, they are the buyer's responsibility. If an item is very large and shipping costs overseas would be prohibitive, an item may only be listed as shipping to the U.S. HOWEVER we would be happy to check out an international rate if desired. Sending First Class International is cheaper but does not offer the same "guarantees" as other methods. Once the package goes to the post office, what happens to it is truly out of our hands. We will help you get information if needed but we are all at the liberty of the shipping process. These packages are not sent insured because of the cost. First Class International does NOT include insurance. If an option with insurance, is desired, we will investigate- please note that it would not be cheap. Thank you for your understanding.

Please do not ask us to mark an item as a "gift" or put a lower item value on the package. We realize this might help you out for those countries that charge extra fees but it exposes this shop to potential fines (and if we get those, we have to close up and nobody gets any of these fun vintage goodies!)

Additional policies

CONDITION OF ITEMS
Vintage clothes and accessories, of course, come in a variety of conditions because they are "pre-loved." Please forgive when things aren't perfect--some items are 40-60 years old! The specifics for the particular item being purchased are addressed in the description of that item. Some flaws may go undetected but not for lack of looking.

These garments are minimally cleaned (on average, they are not taken to a dry cleaner but spot-cleaned or freshened up). This is to keep cost low and because this is not a primary business ( there isn't time or finances to professionally address cleanliness issues). Thank you for understanding.

They come from a non-smoking establishment. We do have animals in the house but they are not around the clothes and other items that are for sale.

We try our best to identify materials and base "dating" on style, material and details. We don't proclaim to get it all right (!) but we do try.
