When the button on his back is pressed, Bentley will bow, bark, yip, waggle his little butt, and if he's left alone will eventually fall asleep - fair warning, he snores (really). His handmade hat is real leather, his tail is a watch mainspring, and his other ornamentation may include gears, clock parts, and bits of interesting hardware. He is about 6½" long and 5" high.

All Critters come with a Care & Feeding card with their name, number, and an explanation of their switch and/or other functions. Operates on 3 AAA batteries (included).

Clockwork Critters are artwork based on re-purposed animated children’s toys. The base animals are mostly plastic, which have been hand-painted to look like metal through a variety of faux-finishing techniques. Each Critter sold through Etsy is individually numbered and is one-of-a-kind.

Because their ornamentation may be sharp, pointy, or break-off-and-swallowable, they are NOT meant for children.

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Custom glass work requires a 50% deposit at time of order and the balance paid before shipping. For custom Critters, a deposit is only required if the requested piece is not something we could sell normally. For example, a brass dog with a jetpack is within our normal scope, a pink duck with suspenders is not.

Returns & exchanges

All sales are final. We encourage questions and will happily provide more information - including additional pictures - about anything you may be interested in to make sure you are getting what you want. Should something be damaged in shipping, please contact us first so we can determine the best way to handle it.

Mechanical issues: Given that Critters are based on toys, we've found the mechanics to be quite rugged and to date have had no problems with any completed item. Additionally, because they are sealed there is no way to repair them. However, should one fail within the first two weeks (fourteen days) after receipt, we will either replace it or issue a credit for the full price upon us receiving the Critter back into our possession, shipped at the buyer's expense.

Shipping policies

We use USPS Priority mail for most orders. Critter orders are usually shipped within two to three days. Glass orders may take an additional day due to more involved packaging.
