Description

Hey there! This is a high quality 9"h x 12"w giclée art print reproduction of my original "Weeping Guitar" watercolor painting, which is a tribute to the hauntingly beautiful song of the similar name written by George Harrison of The Beatles. Side-by-side with the original, it's an exact replica. It's printed on watercolor paper.

If you look closely, you’ll see the melody notes of the song weeping from the guitar.

The idea for this painting came to me a year prior to me finally putting brush to paper.

In his words, here's how George Harrison was inspired to write the song:

"I was thinking about the Chinese I Ching, the Book of Changes... The Eastern concept is that whatever happens is all meant to be, and that there's no such thing as coincidence – every little item that's going down has a purpose.
.
'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' was a simple study based on that theory. I decided to write a song based on the first thing I saw upon opening any book – as it would be a relative to that moment, at that time. I picked up a book at random, opened it, saw 'gently weeps,' then laid the book down again and started the song." — George Harrison

I would be honored if you chose to purchase this print to display in your home, office, or business.

I ship worldwide and your print will arrive in an art-quality, acid-free plastic sleeve with a cardboard backing in a sturdy, stay-flat envelope. I also recommend framing this print behind UV-coasted glass to better preserve its color vibrancy.
