For sale is a post war, modernist style, perhaps even industrial, sculptural Japanese interpretation of wrapped bamboo. This glazed bone china or white ceramic vase measures from tallest to shortest stack, 8 inches, 6 inches and 4 ½ inches. Diameters also descend in size from 2 ¼ inches, 1 ¾ inches, 1 ¼ inches inside. Total outside width is approximately 7 ½ inches. Each cylinder is open to the others on the inside. “Made in Japan” is printed under the glaze on the bottom. There is crazing consistent with its age, some areas darker than others, and some roughness on the bottom.

Perfect for the artist as a watercolor brush organizer in addition to being a remarkable vase.

Please see pictures for condition and feel free to ask questions. I do combine shipping. Thank you.
