This bowl features a natural bark rim that is present when you change the orientation of the wood when you turn the bowl on the lathe. Most bowls will have the center of the tree in the rim and the bark is turned away on the bottom and sides. With natural edge bowls the center of the tree is in the bottom of the bowl. This will give a great circular ring pattern that flows into the bottom of the bowl and a very rustic rim.

Wood Species: Maple from Central Missouri

Dimensions: The bowl's dimensions are 7.525 inches in length, 6.75 inches in width, and is 3.75 inches at its tallest point on the rim.

Finish:
• Danish Oil base with Shellac topcoat finish. This finish would be great for sealed candy or other items that wont have direct food contact.

Uses:
• Table centerpiece
• Keys, coins, rings, or money clip storage
• Wrapped candy
• Shelled nuts

Care of Bowl: Wipe it with a damp cloth, do not submerse in water or place in dishwasher.

I never cut down a tree to turn bowls. Most of my wood is from local mulch sites or from trees that were damaged in storms.

All of my bowls are signed, and numbered on the bottom.
