With Crater Lake almost in our backyard, and our girls having worked their for years, we had often been asked why we don't have a sculpture of this beautiful lake. So finally, here it is. Made of 14-gauge cold rolled steel and polished to a high shine, this sculpture features a common view of the lake, with an added gray jay on a tree branch in the foreground, often seen in the park. It is impossible to capture the true blue of this lake, but using guilder's paste we have done the best we can. The trees also have some added color, but the rest of the sculpture is colored by heating.
The tree branch was welded to the front and parts of the sculpture bent to add 3-D to the piece.
The Scripture chosen for this piece is the theme Scripture for our business, Job 37:14--"Consider the wonder of God..." And isn't this lake a wonder.
Measures 39" wide by 18" tall, with the bird extended in front by 2 inches.
Clear coat sealer is used to protect the piece from rusting.
This will be a beautiful addition to any home and especially lovely over a fireplace.
