Typographic city map with the districts of Wiesbaden, from fairytale land to the poet's quarter, from home to Mainz-Kastel.
Every part of the city where it belongs, every letter optimally fitted into its actual borders by hand! Carefully researched with many unofficial districts, localities, districts, etc.
Letter locations show a city's boroughs within their actual boundaries. This results in a kind of lettered city map in which each district is carefully fitted exactly where it belongs. In addition to the official quarters, every city also has unofficial, grown quarters and neighborhoods that can be found in the letter locations on the spot.
Each motif has been extensively researched and created by hand. Although we use modern software for the typesetting of the letters, each district and its exact location is researched and each letter is rotated and inserted by hand in order to optimally depict the districts in their actual location - unlike a computer-generated word cloud.
We print the letter places posters as a noble screen print, exclusively by hand in our own printing workshop. In the screen printing process, the color is applied over a large area and forms an attractive contrast to the surface of the uncoated paper selected.
Alternatively, we print our letter locations digitally on real artist canvas with a classy, matt finish and offer them in different sizes, stretched by hand on stretcher frames. The stretcher frame is UV-resistant and splash-proof and can be hung up easily and without an additional frame.
The following variants are available:
- Screen print on natural cardboard 170g/sqm, antique white
- Matt print on real canvas, mounted on a stretcher frame
Selection of the variant above under "Select material". The price depends on the format and material/production and will be updated together with the photo after your selection.
We ship our prints rolled or in a frame (screenprint only). Frames for stretched canvas prints are available in a large selection by the meter in specialist shops.
Our frame is a solid black wood frame similar to the picture. The supplied acrylic glass can be removed from the removable frame to emphasize the natural effect of the screen print.
