Pictured here is my cast stone sculpture of the Ivory Winged Sphinx in a green and gold finish. Display as wall decor, garden art, or on a favorite shelf. It is just over 6" by 6" and weighs about 2 pounds.

A Phoenician carving in the British Museum was the basis for my interpretation of this sphinx. The original was created about 900 B.C. in what is now northern Iraq. The sphinx is a mythological creature combining the body of a lion or lioness with a human head, originating in ancient Egypt.

After hand carving my design in plaster, I made a mold and hand cast this in my home studio. Once cured, I will process your Ivory Winged Sphinx sculpture with interference and metallic green and gold highlights over a black base coat (A 25 31). A metal hook is embedded in the back, and it can be hung indoors or out. The mineral oxide pigments are 100% permanent and lightfast. Ivory Winged Sphinx is further protected by a UV barrier coating.

As with any cast stone art, my work has some naturally occurring variation in colors and finishes. If exact colors are important to you, or If you would like Libra in a different finish, please convo me to let me know.
