Description

Far into the woodland realm,
the hermit sits in silent contemplation.
Seeking answers in the falling leaves
and exquisite peace in the rivulets and streams.

Sense Notes:
Earthy | Light | Grounding

A deeply earthy incense, this blend is a kyphi style incense- a long standing traditional style used by the ancient Egyptians to create ceremonial blends. Often made with macerations of fruits and resins and spirits, this blend is a bioregional look at what the forests of the Northeast have to offer. Rose hips and rose petals collected from the wild rosa rugosa bushes along the New Hampshire seacoast, crab apples from the orchards of Vermont. Apiaries offering their honey and base for a wild brewed mead blend together with the field and hedge botanicals to create this blend that is deeply comforting and relaxing. Best enjoyed and used during times of contemplation and devotion.

Enjoy on a charcoal burner and let the scent infuse your home and enchant your senses.

Ingredients:
Rose hips†, crab apples†, mugwort†, sweet annie†, juniper leaf†, rose petals†, wild mead†, local honey, yarrow†, and pine resin†.

†wildcrafted
- - -

All botanicals used were wildcrafted or gleaned from organic local sources by myself during this past summer. Everything was small-batch harvested (unless otherwise noted), processed, and hand-blended. This is a product of a summer of exploration in the Vermont and New England woods, fields, and gardens, and as such is one-of-a-kind. This incense blend will never be made again, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Disclaimer: These were processed and hand blended in a space which also comes into contact with nuts, dairy, and wheat products. Use intentionally.

This was truly so much more extravagant and special than I expected. The packaging was beautiful, including a calligraphed poem, a wax seal and pine needles on the bottle, plus she came up with a creative name for this custom blend, none of which I expected. The bitters themselves are intensely bitter with hints of evergreen and smoke. They give me the image of drinking an ice cold martini while sitting in front of a roaring fire. These were a gift for my husband, who was very impressed, and has been adding them to all sorts of drinks. It's clear that Ashley is passionate about what she does and goes above and beyond not only in the creativity with her products but the packaging and the whole interaction. I wish her much success and hope to be a repeat customer!
