With this tutorial you will learn how to make a pair of these beautiful ruffled hoop earrings from scratch using wire and various gems and beads. You will start with just two pieces of wire, shape them, hammer and add gemstone beads. The design can be adapted to include different size of ruffles, a mix of wire colors, beads and gemstones, making each one unique, yet if you need to make the same design over again, it can easily be done. In addition to earrings, you can use this technique to make bangles, pendants or brooches!

Although it is described as an intermediate project, the tutorial contains so much detail that any level of enthusiast is able to make the piece.


Material List:
* 14 inches (~ 34 cm) 20 ga dead soft round wire
* 23 inches (~ 60 cm ) 28 ga dead soft round wire
* 4-7 mm gem stone beads

Tool List:
* Chain nose pliers
* Wire cutters
* Flat nose pliers
* Round mandrel or any other solid round object
* Hammer

Optional: Liver-of-Sulphur or Eggs (to oxidize the finished earrings)
