These earrings are for dancing, or at least swaying, to the hypnotic rhythms of Middle Eastern music. Flowers, tiny crystals, and a glass disk dangle from an exotic silver finding reminiscent of Arabic script. The oud, sitar, bouzouki, and tandura/tampura come to mind - scents of incense and exotic spices, silken draperies, mint tea or Turkish coffee with cardomom - just looking at these earrings makes me want to head for the nearest city with a traditional Turkish, Greek, Lebanese, or even Indian restaurant! I'm not sure it's safe to buy these unless you have one nearby - you may find yourself keening for biryani, baba ganoush, spanakopita, or baklava!

However, if you're willing to take that risk, or live in the right place, or are friends with an oud player, you will love these earrings and the compliments you will get whenever you wear them.

The main finding is lead and nickel free Tibetan silver, the earring itself is sterling, the jump rings are silver plated, and the dangles are Czech glass and Austrian crystals. And the main photo is slightly out of focus because I just could not get these earrings to hold still even while hanging!

This piece should be fine under normal wearing conditions. I would, however, keep it outside car shoulder belts, away from animals and small children, and out of bathtubs and swimming pools.
