This delicate and detailed necklace features a pointed gothic archway in woven and spiraled copper wire, oxidized and hand-polished. Inside the archway hangs a dangle of copper and opalite, like a hanging lantern framed by the architecture of a gothic cathedral.

The archway centerpiece hangs from a delicate chain ornamented with 4 mm and 6 mm faceted and round opalite beads, which seem to glow with a milky blue light. The necklace closes securely with a lobster clasp and a long extender chain to allow the necklace to adjust between approximately 16 3/4" and 21 1/4", and finishes with another opalite and copper dangle at the end of the extender.

The wire archway is slightly over 1 1/2" tall and approximately 1 1/4" across at the widest point.

The wire used in this piece is untreated copper, and will tarnish with time. A polishing cloth will easily polish up the top layers of the wire wrapped archway, creating greater contrast with the oxidized wires behind. All findings are copper, brass, or copper-plated brass. I can include a Moonshine polishing cloth on request for an additional $3.
