This knotting cord is ideal for most 6-8mm gemstone beads and often works well with 4mm & 10mm size beads as well. This cord is soft, without any wax or coating and since it comes with a needle attached, it squeezes through smaller holes better than some other common mala knotting cords of the same size.

It is strong and durable, and due to the way it is twisted, will stretch slightly when pulled and then go back to it's original length. If you have any questions about the length and if it is long enough for your mala, please contact me with questions.

Griffin nylon power beading cord has a twisted stainless steel needle at the end, which saves threading time & frustration. Doubling the thread is unnecessary, and the cord can be easily knotted because the thread has the correct twist. (please note, doubling the thread also makes it too short to knot a 108 bead mala)

Each card contains approximately 79 inches (2 meters) of cord.

Some of the names of colors from the manufacturer might be confusing so here's a little more explanation of the color options so you know what you are getting:
- Jade is light green
- Green is a bright, slightly teal emerald green
- Turquoise is a light blue
- Coral is orange
- Cornelian is a tawny color, an orangish brown
- Amber is dark yellow, like gold
