Description

Pack of 5 Vintage Unused US Postage stamps of the:

32 cent Gone With The Wind stamp.
Issued 1998
Scott catalog #: 3185i

One of the most popular novels of all time, the epic Gone With the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell, was awarded the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for fiction. This novel, which took 10 years to complete, is the only work of fiction credited to Mitchell.

Set in Atlanta during the Civil War, Gone With the Wind tells the story of the conflict from a southern viewpoint. Focusing not only on the action from the front lines, it also details the impact on civilians. Predominantly a love story, Mitchell tells the story of Scarlett O’Hara, a beautiful young southern belle who falls madly in love with a man whom she can never have – all the while rejecting the advances of the one man who loves her. Thus unfolds one of the most popular works of fiction ever written.

Many of the book’s 59 characters remain familiar to Americans. We can remember the words that have come from their mouths, “...I’ll never go hungry again,” “Tomorrow is another day,” “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” These phrases remain a part of the American vocabulary. Perhaps that is why over 60 years later, Gone With the Wind is still considered one of the great American classics, and remains one of the most widely read stories of all time.

Pack of 5 Mint unused postage stamps with original gum as issued by the Post Office. These stamps are genuine and valid to use as postage for current mailing. Be sure to use enough total postage to meet the current postage rate for mailing a letter if you want to use them for mailing.

Also good to use for scrapbooking or displaying in a small picture frame. It's a miniature work of art.

If you would like me to put a custom order together that includes this stamp please convo me with your questions or request a custom order. I have a large inventory of Vintage US Postage stamp for you to buy from.

Shipping policies

I do my best to keep shipping charges to a minimum while keeping it simple. For most orders there is a fixed rate which applies to the first item purchased and a small charge is added for additional items.

Other store items such as ceramics, vintage items, etc they have individual shipping prices that are based on the weight involved.

Your order will be shipped within 3 days of payment as a general rule but may take longer if I happen to be traveling which doesn't happen that often. If there is going to be a delay I will notify you. Custom orders will take longer if in the event I need to obtain stamps from other sources. I will keep in contact with you on the progress of custom orders and their expected shipping date.

Your order will be mailed to the mailing address provided to me by Etsy unless you request otherwise. Please be sure that the address provided by Etsy is your current address. Vintage postage stamps will be used to mail your order also.

Estimated Delivery Time: While your package will generally arrive much sooner, I allow the post office up to 2 weeks for Domestic First Class Mail delivery.

I have found over the last 5-7 years that 1st Class Mail takes longer than it used to as the Post Office has been closing down sorting centers across the country in an attempt to lower their expenses so it's not unusual for an order to take 7-10 days to be delivered especially if it's going cross country.

Tracking and/or Insurance: Optional. While unfortunate, mail does sometimes get lost or damaged in transit. Understand that I do not take responsibility for untracked or uninsured items once they are delivered to the Post Office. If you would like to pay the additional cost to have your order insured or tracked, please request that I add the tracking and/or insurance to your order BEFORE you check out. If you think your order is lost or damaged please send me a message and I will work out a replacement item with you at a reduced cost.

Priority and Express shipping via USPS: Available! Just convo me to let me know you would like your item shipped via USPS Priority or Express and I will adjust the shipping charge for your custom listing OR purchase the EXPRESS or PRIORITY Shipping Upgrade listings available in my shop. Enjoy your order Quicker!!
