To maintain the integrity of this shop and respect the U.S. and International laws, Maria's Farmhouse will not mark merchandise values below their actual value or mark merchandise as "gifts" on the customs processing form. This practice is strictly prohibited by the U.S. and International Governments.

We ship First Class International, which does not provide a tracking number. However, your order will be insured. If you wish to receive a tracking number, you will need to have your order shipped via Priority Mail, which is extremely costly. Please contact us prior to making your purchase for an estimate on Priority Mail.

Duty (or customs tariffs) is set by the destination country customs authorities and they may charge you a customs/tax fee/duties or VAT. Shipments from the USA to other countries can take up to 60 days to arrive. This is out of our control. Maria's Farmhouse IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEM HELD BY CUSTOMS. Customs processes, import duties and sales taxes are the responsibility of the customer. The customer is responsible to check with their local customs office to find out the delay or hold on your order. Once your order is shipped, it's out of our control. There are no returns/refunds as a result of any International additional charges.

Merino Wool Care Instructions

Our chunky Merino wool is intended for gentle use. It is made from hand spun 100% Merino wool, which is soft, gentle and with time, is a little prone to shedding. This is typical of Merino wool, as well as flyaways and pilling. We recommend Dry Clean only.

LAYAWAY POLICY

We understand that at times you may find the perfect treasure but need a bit more time to fit it into your budget. We offer a Layaway plan for orders of $75.00 or more. We require a 50% deposit, and the remaining 50% due within 30 days. Your last payment will include shipping cost accordingly. If you would like to arrange a layaway, please contact us prior to making your purchase. Deposits are non-refundable. Our normal layaway period is 30 days, however, If you need additional time, please contact us. If you do not complete the purchase within 30 days, you will forfeit your deposit.

GIFT CERTIFICATE

Upon purchase, the Gift Certificate can be sent to the recipient via USPS or via email.

To redeem, have the recipient email us through Etsy with what he/she would like to purchase.

After purchase, if there is a dollar balance left on the certificate, an in-store credit will be issued. If further payment is required after the gift certificate is applied, a PayPal invoice for the balance due will be sent via email.

This certificate cannot be used to purchase other gift certificates.

Gift Certificates are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash or replaced if lost or stolen. Gift certificates may not be redeemed without their unique identifier number and Maria's signature.

Gift certificate balances may be credited toward future purchases and may be used as long as the Certificate is valid. Any purchase greater than the gift certificate value will result in a balance which can be paid via Paypal.

Gift Certificates expire 12 months after date of purchase.

We do our utmost to describe all items as explicitly as possible, providing as much history and detail as is known to us. It should be noted that the items we are selling are both antique and vintage and may in some cases have some age-related wear, such as marks, variations of surface texture, minor scratches naturally associated with use and age.

Our antique and vintage china are in their original condition and were manufactured before today’s stringent safety standards. Please be aware that we do not imply any guarantee of compliance with today’s safety standards. By placing an order, you acknowledge the antique/vintage item(s) we are selling and that we are not liable for any defects arising from wear and tear.

Please note that antique and vintage china are more delicate than your everyday china. You will need to be careful about how you handle, clean, and store them.

We suggest.....
-Never put your china in the dishwasher.
-Never put your china in the microwave.
-Always hand wash with a mild soap.
-Do not soak your china. This can cause problems with the glaze, or even chip off the gold leaf.
-Don't use acidic materials, such as lemon, orange juice or vinegar, on your china. If you use lemon in your tea cup be sure to clean and dry it quickly.
-Don't place your china in the refrigerator.
