Description

Rosemary Seeds, Greek Rosemary, Rosmarinus Officinalis Seeds

You will receive by purchase a paper bag with over 80 seeds, with a minimum 85% germination from Greek spieces of Rosmarinus Officinalis.

The scientific name for rosemary plant is Rosmarinus officinalis, which translates to “mist of the sea,” as its gray-green foliage is thought to resemble mist against the sea cliffs of the Mediterranean, where the plant originates. The plant was known and used by the ancient Greeks for it's various medicinal benefits.

-Set out rosemary in spring, planting seedlings 2 to 3 feet apart; you can also plant in fall in zone 8 and south.
-Rosemary seed takes 15 to 25 days to germinate under ideal conditions. Plant the seed about 1/4 inch deep in a well-draining germination mix. Water thoroughly and place the seed tray on a heating mat.
-Plants are slow growing at first, but pick up speed in their second year. While rosemary tolerates partial shade, it prefers full sun and light, well-drained soil with a pH between 6 and 7.

Evergreen rosemary is an attractive evergreen aromatic shrub with needle-like leaves. The flowers of evergreen rosemary persist through spring and summer, filling the air with a nice piney fragrance. This beautiful herb, mostly used for seasoning dishes, is also commonly used as ornamental plantings in the landscape.
It makes the most tasty chicken dishes!
It can be infused in oil for making wonderful raw materials for cosmetics and hair products!
