Description

This unique, historical notebook is a perfect gift for someone who loves St. John!

Use it for anything from notes to ideas!

    🌴 ESTATE ANNABERG 🌴

On the cover is a photograph of Estate Annaberg which is a part of the Virgin Islands National Park.

The ruins of this historic estate stand as a testament to the hardships and struggles of the laboring population that was forced to work on the plantation.

During the early 1900s, the estate belonged to the Francis family who cultivated the land growing sweet potatoes, bananas and pigeon peas.

• In 1932, Carl Francis sold his majority interest to the Creque family of St. Thomas.

• In 1954, the family deeded it to an associate of Laurence Rockefeller's and in 1956 it became a part of the Virgin Islands National Park.

Today, the estate ranks among the top ten places to visit in St. John.

Visitors enjoy perusing through the ruins and learning about the process of turning sugarcane into sugar by reading the signs posted along the paths.
