Description

This lovely little primitive red tailed hawk I lovingly hand formed in professional grade polymer clay. He then has been painted in heavy body acrylic paint, in a dry brush method, so that they colours below peak through the layers applied over top. The painting method affords the hawk a very artisan look to the finish as well as providing a lot of depth and focus on the carved details in the clay. The little hawk, which is about 2" tall, took in total about 4 hours to complete, from sculpting start to paint finish. Each bird that I form is pretty much a one of a kind piece as no 2 will ever be alike. He would make an awesome gift for someone who loves raptors or collects unique bird pieces.
I seal my polymer clay hand painted bird figrines in semi satin non yellowing cclear coat that is professionally designed for use on acrylics and polymer clay.

You receive the Exact hawk figurine pictured here. I only sculpt each bird I make by hand, then list that finished piece. I can make to order, but the next one will never be exactly the same.

SIZE: The Hawk Sculpture is 2 1/2" tall and 1 1/2" high and 1 1/2" wide at his widest point, so is a small sculpture, and weighs ounces, so is not heavy at all.

CARE: Please always open your clay piece package over a soft surface because accidental dropping on a hard surface, especially from a distance, could cause breakage. Always keep your clay piece out of a child's reach as these are not toys in any way. Always dust off your piece gently and do not soak or use cleaning solutions because eventually this could wear the finish, though the polymer clay itself is not harmed by water once cured. I tend to use the corner of a soft tea towel to gently wipe dust away, and not often.

FAQs

I am able to accept personalized or custom orders, but am unable to offer refunds on either. Cancellations are accepted only if requested within a 12 hour period after ordering.
My sizes are described as accurate as possible. Questions are always welcome. Lengths of necklaces can be altered upon request, upon purchasing, in most cases.
Polymer clay is not harmed by water, but some of the finishes and clear coats, as well as the metal pieces, can be, over time. It is recommended that cleaning solutions are not used, clay pieces are not worn into hot tubs, pools, and not repeatedly in the shower.
I am happy to gift wrap, or add personal notes, if requested, within reason. Sorry, I will not send anything anonymously from a buyer to their recipient, upon receiving such requests, under any circumstances.
Wholesale is not really a possibility for my pieces, as most are one of a kind, and some of my supplies are antique, upcycled, and limited.
My jewellery and accessories are not recommended for young children.
I ship your purchase tracked and insured. I only charge what it costs me to ship from Canada to your location so that your package is shipped safely to you. It is $16.00+ Canadian minimum, to ship tracked small packages to US addresses. So, as you can work out yourself, my shipping is generally undercharged.
I do not charge extra for handling or packing materials, and I make no profit at all on the shipping I charge.
