*Please read carefully - I will do my absolute best to describe this specialty dyed yarn so you may have an outstanding project when you are done.

For Knitters: yes, this is a sock weight yarn that was dyed as a double gradient that REPEATS every 6.33 yards or every 6 meters. That means, if you were knitting a sock in the round, the gradient sequence would repeat itself about every 6-8 rows depending on your stitch count/gauge/etc.

For Crocheters: this complete sequence will repeat itself every 6.33 yards or every 6 meters. How this looks will be depending on your pattern, stitches, hook, and tension.

FOR WEAVERS: while this yarn does NOT have a cross in it, there are approximately 80 rounds (160 ends if using all of it), which means because the yarn does not "stick" to itself, the yarn could easily be wound on as a warp and shaken out as you wind it on to use the gorgeous gradient dyeing as is. It is a skein, when folded on each end, it creates a length of approximately 3 1/8 yards or about 112 inches. Perfect for a shawl or nice scarf with fringe, you will most likely want 2 for the shawl warp. What is really interesting is that you can experiment around with using some for the warp, and getting an additional skein and by winding the bobbins in reverse, use them against the warp gradient with the shorter gradient striping in the weft. I recommend setting it no higher than 10 EPI / 10 DPI or the fabric will not drape beautifully.
If you choose to use the same or similar for the weft, keep in mind that the complete gradient pattern repeats every 6.33 yds / 6 meters.

Thank you for your interest. I hope my explanations help you understand what you are looking at. This line is only available online, the colors are a one time offering, and all sales are final.
