Working Scale, Pelouze Postal Weigh Scale made in Evanston, Illinois. Brown copper color metal casing with an unbreakable front. Monarch line model YC-5. 5 pound capacity by 1/2 ounce.

It works great and has a knob on the back for easy calibration. Will weigh your mail up to 5 lbs. Marked 1976 pat. 2653565. An interesting flashback to postal rates effective Sept. 1, 1976, lettermail and parcel rates for U.S. and International up to 1lb. and Zone rates for parcels up to 5lbs. Has a clear mylar sticker with Canadian zones on the top platform that can be removed if your just interested in the US zones.

The scale is in excellent vintage condition with only a few small areas of rust mostly on the back portion. Measures 9 inches tall by 7 inches wide. A wonderful industrial scale for display and/or use to weigh envelopes and parcels.
