For sale is a deep aqua blue fruit jar embossed on the front "Safe Seal" and below that "Pat'd July 14, 1908". The bottom is embossed with what appears to be a "9" with a line below it. The neck has either "A A" or upside down "V V". The top has a "3" on one side and a "9" on the other.

It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches to the top of the bale and 3 3/4 inches wide.

Research indicates that Ball Glass acquired Upland Glass, Upland, Indiana in 1904 and Upland was previously Safe Glass. Prior to that Safe Glass was Redkey Glass.

I am not absolutely certain that the top is original to this jar. It is the same color glass and not only functions but displays nicely. Bale has surface oxidation which should be easily cleaned. Seems like a good one.

Please see photos for condition and don't hesitate to ask questions. Thank you.
