Purchase this beautifully handmade (by shop owner) outfit inspired by Civil Rights Activist Rosa Parks. "The First Lady of Civil Rights" - This ensemble was designed to portray the day (December 1, 1955) Mrs. Rosa Parks was "booked" by the Montgomery, Alabama police department for refusing to move to the back of the bus. Mrs. Parks refused to obey bus driver James F. Blake's order to give up her seat in the "colored section" to a white passenger, after the whites-only section was filled. Mrs. Park's “act of courage” was the spark for the Montgomery bus boycott. This is our version of the suit she wore upon Mrs. Park's arrest for not moving to the back of the bus. This action initiated the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

"You must never be fearful about what you are doing when you are right". - Rosa Parks
