As a Master Gerontologist, I have spent the last 30 years advocating for seniors. Working with people who have dementia has been very rewarding and I wanted to share some of my lessons. I wrote this book many years ago. My niece, a very talented artist, agreed to do the illustrations, and my daughter, a brilliant writer, completed the book with her poems.
I want to encourage everybody to maximize their relationships with a little planning and a lot of patience and Love!.
This guide will give you a different activity to do everyday with your loved one. Each day focuses on a different sense, and all activities can be catered to people with high or low cognitive functioning.
You will really enjoy the illustrations and poems, and I do hope you can incorporate some of the tips to facilitate your interactions with your loved ones.
