Berwyn is the cutest, hand-sized little polar bear. He is the perfect, gorgeous gift for the holiday season and so appealing which means he is a really good seller at craft fairs. He is only about 10-12cm tall.

I've included a mini pattern for a quick holly leaf which could be attached as a bow-tie or hair bow for that extra wintery bling!

He is designed in the teddy bear tradition and has a lovely vintage feel.

The pattern is written in UK notation in the amigurumi style and would suit a crocheter with a little experience of reading patterns but it isn't too difficult. Naturally, you could use other colours if you wanted a more natural bear or a bright toy to match a nursery.

To make Berwyn you will need a 3mm crochet hook, 25g of white DK yarn, 15g of stuffing, a pair of 8-10mm safety eyes and a small amount of black yarn to embroider his features. If you'd like to make the holly leaf too you will also need a very small amount of 3ply or 4ply yarn or thread in red and green.Please note: All patterns are written in English.
