This is a photograph of a Poppy flower in the Jardin Des Plantes in Paris. The image is slightly surreal, in that the flower looks as if it looms larger than the bank of trees behind it. I did this to accentuate the almost shocking beauty of these flowers that were bursting into bloom when I shot them. It also follows a pattern in my work, in which common subjects of natural beauty are portrayed in slightly unexpected ways. It is printed on coated aluminum that is then folded so that the print becomes an object that stands on its own without a frame. This freestanding photo is 5 wide x 3.5" high x 4.25" deep.

Such a little gem! This card- well piece of art really- is more beautiful and delicate than even it's etsy picture promises. Just lovely!
