Description

I knit this scarf using 90% suri alpaca, 10% fine merino, that was millspun at a USA Fiber Mill into lovely yarn. The fine merino was added in the black yarn while the white is 100%. Suri alpaca has the cool feel with drape. The added merino is such a small amount it shouldn't make any difference unless you are allergic to wool.

I use a manual knitting machine with a punch card to make this scarf. It is nice and soft with ease of care. Just fold it when not wearing it. The black used is not a real deep black it almost has a slight hint of brown in it. It is from our alpaca named Cookie which tips out in brown making her fiber more of a bay black.

Suri is an ancient fiber prized for a combination of elegant traits: Luster, drape, softness, multiple natural colors, ease of dyeing and versatility. Few other natural fibers possess all these attributes, making Suri fiber highly sought after throughout the world.
