***DESCRIPTIONS OF AVAILABLE OPTIONS***:
$18 - (504y / 100g) GRADIENT TIED COTTON (GT):
3 strands held together changing one strand out at regular intervals to create a gradient effect. The colorway begins with a a solid run of a color (all 3 strands are the same color) and end with a solid run of a color.

$20 - (504y / 133g) GRADIENT SPECKLE (GS)
4 strands held together changing one strand out at regular intervals to create a gradient effect; no solid runs of any color. The worked up colorway fabric takes on a tweed/speckled effect and offers a less harsh transition between color changes.

4 strands held together changing one strand out at regular intervals to create a gradient effect; no solid runs of any color. The center color starts out with a small amount of yardage and increases incrementally with each color change (dependent on how many colors are used in the colorway). The worked up colorway fabric takes on a tweed/speckled effect and offers a less harsh transition between color changes. Best used with crescent/triangle patterns, or patterns that increase in width as you work them.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORDERING:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1: Select colors from my available inventory (see listing photos for colors/names)
Step 2: Decide how you want your colors to transition, with color 1 on the outside of the ball and working in to the last color at the center. For Incremental Gradient Tweeds, the center color is the color you will start with (center pull only).
Step 3: Select your Gradient options from the dropdown menu and add them to your Etsy shopping cart.
Step 4: In shopping cart checkout notes, please include what you want to name your colorway, your color choices in the order you want them to transition for each ball you are purchasing as follows:
NAME OF COLORWAY
(Working from the outside into the center):
Color 1: your color choice
Color 2: your color choice
Color 3: your color choice
Color 4: your color choice (continue on through up to 8 colors, if applicable)
REPEAT STEP 4 FOR EACH GRADIENT YOU ARE PURCHASING
REMEMBER...
Contact me if you have questions. I am happy to help/clarify or send pictures of colors side-by-side so you can have a better vision of how they will look together. I know it is a lot of information to go through.
ABOUT THIS YARN:
* These are NOT hand-dyed
* Separate strands are held and wound together (not twisted like traditional yarns) to create a gradient as you work
* There is a knot in one strand where each color change occurs. These can easily be worked into your pattern while you knit or crochet and should not affect your finished piece.
*It does take some getting used to working with this yarn, but the results are stunning if you take your time and make sure to catch each strand as you work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

PLEASE NOTE:

* Be sure to purchase enough yardage to finish your project

* While a similar colorway may be offered again, they may not be from the same dye lot.

* In some instances I may have small amounts from this dye lot left over and can get you some to finish a small section, but do not count on that, I cannot guarantee I will have them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CARE:
* Finished item can be machine washed and dried, but hand washing is recommended
* Some bleeding may occur, may be best to hand wash separately the first couple of times
* Hand washing also helps to keep the fiber from fading as fast
GRADIENT TIED COTTON (GT):
3 strands held together changing one strand of color out at regular intervals to create a gradient effect. The colorway begins with a a solid run of a color (all 3 strands are the same color) and ends with a solid run of a color.
GRADIENT SPECKLE (GS):
4 strands held together changing one strand out at regular intervals to create a gradient effect; no solid runs of any color. The worked up colorway fabric takes on a tweed or speckle effect and offers a less harsh transition between color changes.
INCREMENTAL GRADIENT SPECKLE (IGS)
Same as GS except one strand of color changes out at increasing intervals to create a more equal gradient effect in triangle/crescent shape patterns where each row gets longer.
For your finished piece, I recommend a light soaking in a gentle detergent or soak made especially for delicate items. Items can be blocked.
As with any fiber, it is important to test if you are concerned with the color bleeding after you make your item. Test a small swatch and see how it reacts.
Red and darker colors are always at risk for bleeding, so I encourage you to test any fiber I sell if this is a concern.
Beginning June 15, 2018 these will no longer be offered as custom options in my shop due to moving and having smaller studio space. If/when I am able to get into a larger studio, I will consider offering these again at that time. All remaining pre-wound inventory will be available in the shop until it sells out.
Wholesale is available to yarn shops with a minimum purchase requirement. Please contact me to get details.
