I am pleased to offer this lovely Royal Bayreuth demitasse cup and saucer. The colors are so pretty with soft yellow/ochre and cream. The cup is footed with gold trim, as is around the rim of the cup and the handle. The diameter of the cup is 3 1/4", and the saucer is 4 1/2" in diameter. Made in Bavaria, Germany this fine bone china set is in excellent condition with no nicks or cracks or crazing. Great luster and satin like finish.

# Older Royal Bavarian China used other markings that are not used today. From 1794 to 1885, a '"T" was used to mark the china; from 1887 to 1902, a lion or shield marking was the stamp seen on the bottom of pieces. These markings can be found on plates, figurines, tea cups, pitchers and other china collectibles.
So the marks on this cup and saucer on sale today shows the T and the lion, so this item dates between 1885 and 1902.

A very pretty item to add to any collections of antique tea cups.
