(¸.·´ (¸.·`* THE STORY ♥
When my son went off to the Air Force right before Christmas in 2016, we were told by his recruiter that we would be his lifeline to the world outside of BMT, meaning we were encouraged to write letters to our Airman Basic EVERY day. Well, my hand nearly fell off from all the letters I wrote in the beginning, I wanted to send letters to my trainee that were handwritten so he could see more of my personality in the words (until I found the Sandboxx app ♥), and though cards can be sent too, there are strict guidelines of what can and cannot be sent during BMT! The day our son swore in and got on the plane, another wingmom told me about this idea she had to go to the store and buy inexpensive general cards to send on the days she didn't have time to write - so of course I adopted this idea and headed off to the store to find cards that same day. I had to stand in the aisle and wait for the tears (saying "see you later" was so hard!) to subside before I could read every single card there that would apply... I left there with a completely unnecessary amount of encouragement/support cards and headed home. When I sat down to look through them - suddenly my son's voice rang through my head "Mom, pleeeeeeaaaasssseee don't send any cards with glitter, ribbons, confetti, lights, buzzers, recorded voices/songs, and especially NO COLORED ENVELOPES!!" Well, almost every one I bought had a colored envelope and had some obnoxious glitter - I had picked out ridiculous sappy cards because in the store I was hopelessly stuck ALL UP in my emotions... and that simply wouldn't be acceptable to training squadron MTI (military training instructors). These cards definitely screamed "please call me out among my wingmen and make the whole flight drop and give 'em 20"! So - I put my "I'm TOAST without you" card with the steaming little piece of bread with legs, and a tear in it's eye on the cover in a drawer to bring back out when he came home so we could have a good laugh, and decided to go to work and make my own. It has been a labor of love ♥ (update - I DID bring the card to show him when he came home after almost a year... I LAUGHED... he rolled his eyes and kissed me on the cheek.)

23 different and uniquely designed card sets, for just about 3 full weeks of the 7.5 weeks of BMT, are available in my shop, which include 5 "Beast Week" cards for extra unleashing the beast encouragement, a birthday card set, and a BMT graduation card set. Every card includes plain WHITE envelopes and matching printed envelope liners for added security :) Each design/listing can be viewed in the "Air Force Cards/Invites" section in my shop here:

Most card designs are customized with your Airman-to-be's rank (AB for "Airman Basic" during BMT, Amn for "Airman" during graduation weekend, and A1C for "Airman First Class" shortly after tech school begins) and last name included, and 2 of the designs have custom photos ("#12 Stronger" and "#15 Preparing All Your Life" designs).

- Designs created for encouragement during AF BMT (Basic Military Training), but is also perfect for farewell/coming home party, deployment, or "thank you for your service" sentiments!
