Vintage condition: overall in good vintage condition, except for wear to plating and traces of corrosion on back side of one earring on the pending oval; the gold tone enamel has some slight wear, especially on the brooch and the ring;

A set from the “Light of the East” series (nr. 6212 launched in 1968), sold by the American company Sarah Coventry. The design appears to have been inspired by culture of India. The parure consists of a ring, a brooch, a chain with pendant and a pair of clip on earrings. The pieces all have oval shaped frames with an open back, made of gilded base metal, and embellished with a very dark brown molded glass cabochon. The upper sides of these cabochons are hand painted with blue, green, red and gold tone enamel. All pieces are marked “© SARAH COV. ”. The ring measures approx. 17 mms diameter on the inside, which equals a French size 54/US size 6½/UK size N. The earrings are pending and have clip on closures, their front sides are open pins. The frame of the brooch is embellished with 5 cabochons and has a C-secured pin closure. The pendant hangs on a gold tone metal chain which has an extension piece of 5 cms and a spring ring clasp. All clasps and clips are in good working condition. For measurement details please contact the shop.
Good vintage condition for all pieces, except for one earring. The plating on the pending oval's back side has wear and shows some traces of corrosion, the clip is clean. Enamel is in good condition, the gold paint has some slight wear, especially on the brooch and the ring. Nice set !
