Argus C3 f/3.5 50mm Argus Coated Cintar was know as that camera that really popularized 35mm format. Mass-produced from 1939 to 1966 by Argus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The camera was the best-selling 35mm fir 3 decades. The Argus cameras were very popular and used for many famous photos over the time.
This camera was previously owned by James P. Roarty of Roarlias Photography in Washington DC. He was commissioned by both the Republican and Democratic parties in the 50’s and 60’s for photography. If this camera could talk I am sure it has many personal friends it has photographed. The camera comes with a Certificate or Authenticity of its us in the political arena.
