The Household Searchlight Recipe Book
1937 Revised Edition
Compiled and Edited by - Ida Migliario, Zorada Z. Titus, Harriet W. Allard, Irene Nunemaker
The Household Magazine Topeka, Kansas
320 pages

This is a beautiful old cookbook full of great recipes. The cover has worn spots and corners but the embossed title and quilt pattern are still beautiful. The book is divided into sections by tabs so it makes it easy to find the perfect recipe for your 1930's dinner party. It is also a wealth of cooking wisdom from Grandma's day.
The tabs are bent from use but still legible. Be gentle with them. As with any well used cookbook there are some stains and handwritten notes. There are also stains inside the front and back covers that look like water stains, possibly from opening the book with wet hands. There is yellowing of the paper as is to be expected with a book this age. The spine is solid and the pages secure.

As with all vintage books, please remember that this book has been well read and loved so some visible wear is to be expected.
