Description

This guide will show you the process you can take to make a small maquette to prototype a sewing pattern from. This tutorial demonstrates footpaws, but it can literally be anything you dream up! Imagine plush figures, handpaws, tails, etc. Working in a small size to do some prototype testing can really save on materials costs in the long run. It is also extremely well-suited for artists who have small work spaces.

It includes a detailed 8-page tutorial with step-by-step instructions. Tutorial text is written in English. Included is letter-sized (8.5x11 inch) formatted PDF. This tutorial was updated June 2019 with 7 new images, and expanded from 4-pages to 8-pages with expanded text, additional resources, and new tips I have learned since its original publication.

Materials needed for this project

This is the culmination of what I've figured out so far on the topic of prototyping with a scale model, shared with you in this premium guide!

I hope this style of prototyping will help you in your creative endeavors! You can use this scale model patterning technique for many varied projects, not just the footpaws shown as an example!

It is highly appreciated if you use or adapt these techniques on projects, that you share credit that you learned it right here from Matrices.net using my patterns and guides. That way others can discover my tutorials and make their own cool projects, too!!

Note: This is a digital download, I will not be sending buyers anything in the mail with this purchase, it is intended to be downloaded so you can enjoy learning about and making this project yourself! Thanks for understanding!
