Description

A sporty look with Ivy League style makes up this handsome vintage men’s double breasted jacket or sports coat, with green and yellow tartan pattern by the University Shop of Normand’s, circa 1970s.

The casual coat consists of what feels like a tropical weight wool blend fabric, with windowpane plaid of moss green with criss-crossing stripes of goldenrod and pale yellow. It has long sleeves, pointed notched collar, two large patch pockets with flaps and an extra faux pocket flap, and double placket with embossed brass colored buttons.

The jacket is partially lined in yellow satin as shown, and has two interior pockets, back vent, an embroidered label for “University Shop”, “Tailored Exclusively for Normand’s”, “Falls River, Mass.” and ACWA label of the period.

A store tag with original price was found within one of the pockets, along with a store receipt, as shown. These will be returned to the pocket and included.

Very good condition, with all colors remaining vibrant and intact.

Please note measurements as follows and be sure to allow for ease.

Chest – 40 inches
Waist – 37 inches
Length – 30&1/4 inches (Base of back collar to tail/hem)
