Description

J. Nowill and Sons of Sheffield, England produced really great quality straight razors in their time and this is no exception. Over 300 years old and still shave ready.

The razor was in clean but tarnished condition when it arrived. When i say tarnished, what i mean is the blade was the same colour as Pewter and dull. However, the blade has been hand polished with fine sand paper and finished with a diamond polishing paste, then honed to a shave ready condition.

The razor has been personally shave tested for my youtube channel so you can see precisely what you are buying.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2egMgje5LQ

The razor weighs in at 45 grams, so average to heavy weight.

The cutting edge of the razor measures 67mm x 19mm.

Left side of the tang are the words J.NOWILL & SONS SHEFFIELD ESTABLISHED AD 1700

Right side of the tang is engraved with a letter D and the "cross keys" symbol.

The cream handle looks like Ivory and is in clean condition with no chips or cracks.

The razor comes with a vintage case, albeit not the original case.
