Description

*~*PLEASE NOTE- MY CUSTOM ORDER POLICY HAS CHANGED A BIT! With a little one in the house now, I’m no longer able to work full time so space in my schedule is extremely limited. So I’ve reworked how custom orders are taken and filled. Check my Policy Section to learn how the order process works and my Shop Announcement for up to date info on my order schedule!*~*

This listing is for a Late Renaissance wheel farthingale. It is made out of sturdy unbleached cotton twill fabric and boned with 3 rows of steel hoop boning. It ties together in back at the waist as well as at the juncture of each the bones.

Wheel farthingales were worn at the end of the Renaissance and throughout much of the Jacobean Period. With a bum roll underneath to keep it stable, the wheel gives skirts a cylindrical shape. The bodice was typically V-shaped and laid down over the front of the wheel, making the torso appear very long and thin. Though this style was pioneered by the French, Queen Elizabeth I made it popular throughout Europe.

Measurements of wheel:
Waist to Front edge/back edge: 7 1/4"
Waist to Side edge: 10"

Measurement needed:
Waist:

Care Instructions: dry clean

Additional policies

-What is Your Turnaround Time?:
Readywear: 1-2 days processing time and USPS Priority mail shipping

NEW CUSTOM ORDER POLICY! (2 month wait time)
Because my Custom Order schedule is extremely limited, I now ship all completed orders out by the end of the month. If you need your order sooner please let me know, otherwise your order will ship by the last day of the month your order is scheduled.

Also, to keep my schedule from getting booked too far out, sometimes custom order listings are temporarily taken down once the month’s schedule is full. Then everything is relisted on the first on the following month. This keeps the gap between ordering & receiving things from getting crazy long. So don't panic if a listing you're watching is taken down! It'll be back up soon!

Example: If it’s March then I’m taking orders for May. Once May’s schedule is full I will temporarily take down all custom order listings until the end of March. On April 1st all listings will go live again and I’ll start taking orders for June.

-How Does The Custom-Order Process Work?:
Once I receive your full purchase or down payment, I reserve you a place in my schedule. While I prefer to receive your measurements along with your order, you have until the week before your order builds to get them to me! If a fabric choice was part of the order (corset cover fabric, gowns, other custom items we've discussed together) I will contact you with images of the fabric you've chosen in the color(s) and/or prints you would like to see. You choose the one you like, then I order it, and store it for your build date. Then, in 2-3 months I build your order and ship it out! You will receive shipping and tracking info once your order ships.
