A blackwork botanical theme hand embroidery pattern kit featuring winter plants embroidered in deep black hand dyed floss on a white linen tea towel with a black border. This design is called "Early January."
This hand embroidery pattern kit includes a pattern of winter plants that stitches up quickly using stem stitch, lazy daisies, satin stitch, and French knots. The pattern is easily transferred using a lightbox and #2 Micron ink pen. These tea towels are great for home decor, housewarming gifts, hostess gifts, gift exchanges or gifts for someone special!
Outline embroidery using stem stitches and back stitches is a great way to learn how to hand embroider. This pattern also has French knots and satin stitches, which are also fun to do and easy to learn.
This kit includes the pattern page with photo, instructions and pattern, a white linen tea towel with black border, and one skein of colorfast hand dyed floss in Black Licorice from The Gentle Art ~ lovely floss! The tea towel is 100% linen with a hem stitched border and measures 14" x 21". A really pretty and elegant towel.

5 out of 5 starsThe seller was extremely helpful when I asked if she could transfer the patterns for me. Fabric and pattern print are great quality. The instructions were difficult to sift through because they are in one big paragraph. I think a bulleted list would have been easier. Also, it would have been helpful to have the Week’s Dye Work listed (as in the instructions) with the DMC conversions. I would buy from this seller, again.

I purchased 3 of these to make as gifts. They are quick to stitch which is great. The only thing I wish is that they had a hanger sewn in on the back of the towel. The design is really cute and shipping was quick. Would purchase again.
