⏱️ TLDR Version: Any colors, any wording, leave choices in the "personalization" on the checkout page. Fast shipping!

You choose:
♥ COLORS:
Any colors you have in mind (even a favorite sports team color). Use your wedding colors, your school colors, the nursery colors, or just your favorite colors. You could use this as a gender reveal, or keep it neutral. Some of the colors I have available are here: https://i.etsystatic.com/6246384/r/il/c1f046/1718129319/il_fullxfull.1718129319_m2td.jpg
♥ FONT:
I have too many to list, but if there is a particular font or style you are looking for, let me know! I probably have it, or something similar.
♥ WORDING:
This can really be anything that will fit on the sign. (Only Child Expiring, Baby Guard Dog, Official Toy Tester, etc)
♥ SIZE:
I have two sizes for big dogs, and I have a size for small dogs. If your dog is under 20 lbs, and you intend for him to wear it, please choose "Small" in the size drop down box. Otherwise, choose "Big" and I will choose whichever of the larger size best suits your wording. The sizes are 17 by 4.5 inch OR an 18 by 4 inch sign OR a thinner 13 by 5 inch.

♦ HANGING METHOD ♦
Ribbon, rope and free standing are all options. If you look through the photos you will see a number of ways to use these signs.

♥ Ribbon:
I have a number of colors available here: https://img0.etsystatic.com/021/0/6246384/il_fullxfull.479145016_ttxu.jpg. Generally I choose a color complimentary to your sign, but feel free to specify. If you are looking for something not listed, don't be afraid to ask. The ribbon will be tied off at one end, but left untied at the other so that you can adjust it to the correct size.

♥ Rope:
A basic sisal rope in tan. Excellent for rustic or nautical looks. The rope will be tied off at one end, but left untied at the other so that you can adjust it to the correct size.

♥ Free Standing:
This is the option to choose if you know you will not try to have the dog wear it for the photo shoot. This could be if there are multiple dogs, or you intend to hold the sign, or you simply don't expect Fido to cooperate. In order for these signs to still be hung as nursery decor after their use as a photo prop, I include a sawtooth hanger.

The 13 by 5 inch size will have a peg or screw for standing it up. The other sizes are 3/4 inch thick pine and will stand on their own.

⌚ HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
I am pretty quick to produce these signs (1-4 days in most cases). If there is ever a delay for any reason in my processing times it will be noted in my shop announcements. I ship First Class (Priority if the item is too heavy) within the US. If you need it faster, let me know and I can get you a quote for Express Mail. International orders will ship First Class International.

♦ HOW TO ORDER♦
1) Choose a hanging method in the drop down box.
2) Choose a size in the drop down box.
3) Add to cart.
4) In the "personalization" section, give me the details. Most orders are as simple as stating the wording, "Baby X Guard Dog Duty Starts XXXX" and the colors, "black background, white lettering". However, as you'll notice when looking through the photo album, you can get creative with these! Choose different or the same colors for each sign, and different wording if you choose!

💓 Please keep an eye on your Etsy messages after ordering. I will send you mock-ups/proofs of what your signs will look like. I will need your approval to get started. I want them to look the way that you want them to!

📷 GETTING A GREAT PHOTO 📷

1. TREATS!
Find something that your dog enjoys, but maybe not something he gets so excited about that he can't sit still. Try setting it on top of your camera, or keep your hand where you want him to look. You may even want an assistant for this task, but be sure they stand where you want him to be looking. You can also try an app on your phone that attracts his attention.
•Squeak Toy App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leafgreen.squeaky
•Cat to Human Translator: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electricfrenchfries.htct.free

2. BACKGROUND
Be aware of your surroundings. Make a note of distracting clutter. Try to find a spot with either a neutral background or a scenic one. Find a spot where your pet will be comfortable, safe, and without too many distractions. Cut the ribbon or rope to the proper length for a cleaner look. If you aren't using the ribbon or rope, removing it for the photo shoot will be worth the results.

3. ON THE LEVEL
Try to get on the same level as your dog, or bring your dog up to level. Either squat, or set the dog on a couch, table, etc. Get close.

4. LIGHTING
Daylight is King! Shoot outside if at all possible. If shooting indoors, do NOT use the flash. Try to bring in as much natural light as possible. Shooting outside on cloudy days is ideal. If it is sunny, position yourself with the sun behind you and at an angle.

5. EDIT
Getting a quality photo from the start is best, but cleaning it up a little in a photo editor will make it even better. Here are some free apps
Mobile:
•Adobe Lightroom - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.lrmobile
•Flickr: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.flickr
Desktop:
• Fotor: https://www.fotor.com/
•Pixlr: https://pixlr.com/

Changing the exposure level, adjusting for color (often digital cameras bring in too much blue), brightness and contrast, and cropping will make a huge difference.

6. TRICKS
• Letting your dog blow off a little steam before the session may help her sit still, and also make her "smile" for the photo.
• If possible, have your pet off leash, or hide the leash.
• If you are not using the ribbon or rope, remove it for the photo.
• If your dog seems un-fond of the sign, don't push it. Wait for her to fall asleep, or be sitting somewhere comfortably and set it in front of her.

You can make your dog famous too, if you would like to share your completed photo!
