This is a gorgeous high end hostess dress dating to just after 1947 has the classic New Look styling with dolman sleeves and a very cinched waist opening up into a dramatic full skirt. The fabric is an exquisite pale jade green with a textured woven stitchery pattern in black. All the original self covered buttons are intact and they go all the way to the bottom of the gown. The wide dolman sleeves have a bracelet length perfect for sporting your long gloves, and this dress looks great both with and without a crinoline. Side pockets for striking an elegant pose, nice bow at the back waist and a narrow lapel with plunging neckline. This dress bears the older I. Magnin & Co, California and Seattle label with the Art Deco lettering. There is some faint fading along the tops of the sleeves and on the skirting but it blends extremely well with the shimmering of the fabric and goes unnoticed. No other issues on this beautiful dress, which measures 34 bust, 25-26 waist, 50+hips and a length of 53 inches.
