A very pretty Burmese glass cameo, set in an harmonious gilded brass frame circa 1900.
You can still see a few white spots of what was the white paint enhancing the cameo originally

Burmese glass was very popular during Queen Victoria's reign and lovely vases were made by Fenton amongst others. Uranium oxide was added to white translucent glass which gave a yellow tone; to get the pink variety, gold was heated in the glass as often as needed to obtain the desired pink.

Mark: none
Age: Late Victorian C1900

Condition: very good all over for its age; the glass moves a bit in the setting if you touch it, but is very secure. The pin is tight to open (it could be loosened easily I believe). The gilded frame is in very nice condition in the front and back; some minor darkening only under the back frame.

Size: the frame is 1-3/4" high - 1-1/2" wide

Should sending cost less than charged, difference will be reimbursed to buyer through PayPal.
