Handmade

Materials

Grain alcohol, Oregon Grape Root, Pine Pitch, Cayenne, Echinacea

This disinfectant liniment is used for small inflamed wounds, athletes foot, etc.
With Oregon grape root, pine pitch, cayenne, echinacea for healing and alcohol as a carrier. The alcohol evaporates rapidly and also gets absorbed easily which leaves just the herbs on your skin to take effect. I don't use rubbing alcohol (which is extremely effective) but does gross things if it gets into your blood stream, so lets not do that.

This is safe to use on tiny open wounds but it will burn but its so worth it. (Just sayin' you should buckle up, maybe expand your curseword vocabulary. Have you tried "Zooterkins" lately?) The pine pitch in the liniment helps to seal tiny wounds which is very nice.

To use: grab a clean cotton ball or cotton fabric, or paper towel and rub or dab on area to be treated. May be used multiple times per day. Avoid reusing the same bit of cotton.. This WILL STAIN, like, everything it touches.

Lore: Dhanvantari is the Hindu god of medicine. He carries with him Amrita, nectar of the gods which grants them a type of immortality and healing. While this liniment is no Amrita, Dhanvantari is often prayed to and celebrated today for his healing abilities. In one of my favorite pictures of Dhanvantari he is depicted as Vishnu with four hands, holding scripture, herbs, and a pot containing Amrita.
