Description

This lidded cooking dish was made completely by hand by Ludwig Pottery in Soufflenheim, Alsace, France. This quaint french village of potters and artisans is known for its superior pottery and has been making pottery since the 12th century. It is made with yellow-ochre clay, not the typical grey or white, which is from the quarries of Haguenau. This decorative pottery is made for cooking and is safe for food. This dish is 12.25 inches handle to handle, 7.5 inches wide and without the lid 2.75 inches tall, with the lid 5.5 inches tall.
