This fantastic Sweet Little Boy and Girl with Cart and Donkey Postcard is vintage. It belonged my Great Grandmother. I have oodles of cards that I'm posting on etsy, so continue to check my shoppe often! They are all from the time period of 1908 and 1915. This one written on and was posted in May of 1909.

Grandma kept everything, including this old newspaper clipping (not included in sale) about One Cent to ship postcards to most destinations via the postal service. Mail was the most inexpensive way to let your friends and family know you were well and pass on additional news like a birth in the family! Postcards were very popular communication during the early 1900's! And why not make it pretty, too?!.....Postcards came in a lovely variety of beauty! Just imagine how exciting it would be to receive such a pretty postcard in the mail now and then! (See full newspaper clipping by clicking on the photo of the clipping in this listing. Click on it again to enlarge!)

A horizontal design of a sweet little boy and girl with their flower covered cart being pulled by a donkey . A lovely postcard with sentiment of "With Kind Remembrance". It is a century old, and there is some brown speckles from age. (Click on any of my photos for a close-up).

Please note the bent corner on one part. This does not affect the picture of the boy and girl on the card, but please click on each photo to enlarge it and view fully before purchasing.

Postal Use : Posted with a One Cent Stamp, Tioga, May 4, 190?, 5P, N. Dakota
The written inscription starts with penciling of "May 4, 1909", which corresponds with the One Cent stamp on the postcard for that era. The writing on the back begins "Dear Brother...." (A note from Great Aunt!) I want to share this card with someone who can appreciate its loved sentiment and who would enjoy the sweet picture on it!
